Historical development of information systems
The development of Information Systems     Humans began to exchange information since ancient times, about 3000 years BC or jik counted already more than 5000 years ago. The way that information exchange is to write on stone, wood, papyrus or clay. Early history of the development of information systems starts here. Without the measures taken by these ancient humans, there will be no technological tools such as computers and mobile phones. There are four stages through the development of communication and information, such as can we describe below.History of the development of information systemsFirst period: Pre-Mechanical     In this period, the communication uses symbols to convey information. In the years 3000-2000 BC, humans use the images as well to convey the message. An example is the Phoenicians who inhabited the Middle East (now Lebanon) create the same model. Ancient Greece adapted the symbol belonging to the Phoenicians by adding vowels that make it easy to use. The ancient Romans and then wear it as well, which is currently the alphabet we know and use today. Making the book of papyrus that is attached begins in the year 600 BC. At first only religious leaders and leaders who have a collection of books. After that there was the ancient Egyptians who created a scoring system, so that also led to the discovery of tools called abacus arithmetic.

The second period: Mechanic     This period included in the medieval period. Where people already use the equipment to store, process and record information. One of the most important discoveries in this period was the Gutenburg printing machines from Germany. Submission of information becomes easier because the printing machine can produce the same work in large numbers. In 1600, a computer or a calculating machine was first invented by Blaise Pascal. This computer is called the Pascaline and is considered the starting point of the machine replaces the human brain in calculating the data.

Third Period: Electromechanical     At this time, the use of electricity to deliver energy to run machines invention after Pascaline continue to be discovered. In this period also invented the telephone and Morse code to be used in long-distance communication directly. Then introduced the first computer used to store programs and data at the beginning of 1948. The computer is Dubbed the Manchester Mark 1. This computer is the beginning of further technological invention that is now a computer, laptop, tablet and smartphone.

Fourth period: Electronics

Jean Hoerni developed the planar transistor in 1957. The tool can integrate all the circuit created subsequent years. In 1960, the US Defense Department established the ARPANET (Advanced Research Project Agency NETwork) which is the forerunner of the Internet that you use today. At that time the ARPANET used only for government, research and universities. Researchers from MIT named Licklider expand the ARPANET computer networks around the world for social interaction. This happened in 1962. In 1968, Andrew Grove, Gordon Moore and Robert Noyce has created the first microchip. They then sell the design to the intel to be mass produced.      After the fourth era, technological development takes place rapidly. The discovery of the UNIX operating system, computers from Apple, Windows, Linux, dot com era and still more recent discoveries that we can not mention one by one. Hopefully this article historical explanation of the above information system development can increase your knowledge in the computer world. (Billie)
